Package: game-data-packager
Version: 43
Severity: wishlist

Hi there,

as previously discussed in private with Alexandre, it should be
feasible to create icons from (Doom-compatible) game data by
temporarily unpacking it with deutex and then converting it into
an appropriate format with imagemagick.

Take for example Chex Quest:

$ cd `mktemp -d`
$ deutex -x /usr/share/games/doom/chex.wad
$ convert graphics/stfst00.ppm chex.png

Win!
