I was curious to see how the music was provided in the Steam package.

No I see that the Steam version doesn't provide any music at all;
and that the music I was hearing was repacked from
quake-music_37_all.deb itself ripped from the CD.

There are archives with .ogg files floating around;
can this be considered semi-official ?
