I had the opposite experience. I didn't have much  money  to work with this year but I decided to do the 7  credit exchange because I was excited to  participate in a  more positive  exchange. I went  shopping as soon as I got my match and  managed to find good deals  and got my  giftee about 5 small gifts that  all  matched the interests  they listed (ended up being $30  total so a little over budget).  I was starting  to get  worried that the gift had been lost  since my giftee hadn't posted  anything.......but  then  they did,  not  posting any  pictures just ranting  about how they had signed up for the 7 credit exchange to get something special and  that I should have spent more  then my  weekly allowance.  ??. It kinda left me with a  sour taste about the whole thing.
