That's approximately 10 year old hardware (the same chipset is in the
Lenovo X200/X200s, released in 2008 with a Core 2 Duo CPU) so it wouldn't
surprise me if the darkplaces developers have brought in a dependency
on an OpenGL feature that is accelerated on newer hardware, but has to be
emulated (slowly) on the GM45.
(Note that CPUs of that generation are no longer supported by Intel and
will not be receiving microcode updates for the Spectre and Meltdown
vulnerabilities.)
