This is almost certainly a problem with the ioquake3 engine rather than
the OpenArena game, so I'm reassigning it.

Does the opengl1 renderer work? (See /usr/share/doc/ioquake3/NEWS.Debian.gz)
If not, does an older version of ioquake3 from snapshot.debian.org work?
Unfortunately ioquake3 does not have the ability to fall back from one
renderer module to another if the default doesn't work.

Ironlake is an Intel graphics generation from 2010, so it's entirely
possible that the opengl2 renderer requires newer hardware than that.
