Great, thanks! But actually, I think I managed it myself. I was able to
build and install the packages with my changes. Here is the patch for
the data:

Since the repository for the data doesn't seem to actually include the
data files themselves, I was able to build the package after copying the
data files to that directory. I'm not sure how that works with the build
daemon though...

The patch for the source is quite a bit larger (~1.4M), so I've attached
that XZ'd at the end of this message. If you want to see only the Debian
changes, then run 'git show -- debian/' after applying the patch with
'git am'.

I also made a single commit to upstream after the release to update the
homepage URL in the README file. I've included that in the patch as
well.

Also, when I refreshed data.patch using quilt, it changed the format of
the patch from what looks like 'git diff' output to quilt's format. I
hope that's OK.

I also took the liberty of adding myself to debian/copyright (for the
source, not the data). For debian/changelog, I used my name when I
finalized the entry, but you can change it to yours and put mine in
brackets. I'm not sure what the convention for that is...
