I checked corsix-th building process in a clean Debian Sid chroot (amd64).

With the current libsdl2 build provided in Sid repositories, I reproduce
the failure.

With the proposed patch it builds successfully.
I ran my test using a fresh clone of the proposed patch, HEAD commit is
1ea0dcb76368157f1adfad2493c64595a2ca1d76.
