It hangs just after this in xterm:
HU_Init: Setting up heads up display.
I_InitGraphics: 1920x1080

Then, if I type CTRL-C, it stops but the shutdown is not complete, it hangs again after this:
I_ShutdownSound:

killall prboom-plus brings these lines:
I_SignalHandler: Exiting on signal: Terminated
I_SignalHandler: Exiting on signal: Terminated
I_SignalHandler: Exiting on signal: Terminated

Only killall -9 prboom-plus kills it completely.

strace prboom-plus is OK, I can play Doom 2.

Moreover, I suspect something weird with XFCE because the windows that are not maximized vertically are moved downwards (from the size of the top bar), even if I can play.
