Although we are late in the release process admitelly, from our
persective it would be desirabel to get xcftools removed with
bullseye. So if you think your later option might be okay enough then
I would have suggested to go this way instead. Is this okayish to just
include the pregenerated PNG versions then?

As I want to mention explcitly: if it turns out to be infeasible at
this point we simply will be biting the bullet, but this was the
reason the severity is initially RC and acked by release team twith
the clear indication that we can revisit it it turns out to not be
possible.
