Version: 1:1.19.1-2
Severity: wishlist
Hi there,
please upgrade the openal-soft package to upstream version 1.23!
The 1.19.1 release which is currently in Debian exhibits some serious
clicking when sounds are played repeatedly in Doom source ports and
reportedly these clinks are fixed in newer versions (at least 1.21.1):

Also, you may want to upgrade the Homepage field in debian/control and
the debian/watch file to point to the new upstream location at
https://github.com/kcat/openal-soft
Thanks!
Cheers,
- Fabian
