Since the 1.23.0 → 1.24.0 OpenAL upgrade in unstable, 0 A.D. crashes on launch.
This is a problem affecting the upstream too:

A fix has been suggested upstream:
https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad/pulls/7234

I suggest cherry-picking this fix into our build as a patch,
that could then be dropped once we package a new release including this fix.
I can provide this patch as a merge request on Salsa, after running
local tests to ensure it builds cleanly on top of our codebase and does
indeed avoid the reported crash.
