Package: bsdgames
Version: 2.17-35
Usertag: bin-games-conflict
Control: affects -1 mono-devel morse libmath-prime-util-perl hxtools raster3d
Hello,
bsdgames ships a lot of programs with short names, since basically
forever. These names are now getting coopted by new sources.
Because bsdgames installs its programs into /usr/games, and other
packages tend to install into /usr/bin, these problems are usually
not detected, or way too late.
>From a discussion in bug 1098948, these problems were identified
today:
monop - also installed by mono-devel, #444962
morse - also installed by morse, #789523
primes - also installed by libmath-prime-util-perl
rot13 - also installed by hxtools
worms - also installed by raster3d
Regarding rot13, #576156 asked to move the bsdgames program into
/usr/bin.
Personally I think it would be good to resolve these name conflicts
and install all bsdgames programs into /usr/bin.
