For Squeeze, I'd recommend simply not packaging the one plugin which
has a dependency which is not currently in Debian.

As a geany user, I think the ctpl plugin is actually in quite a narrow
niche and will not be missed by many users. However, losing all plugins
for geany because of one lesser-used one is clearly not in the interest
of any users.

That's my preference but note, I'm only lurking here as a geany user
and unofficial RT volunteer whilst I sort out a point release for
Emdebian Lenny and prepare for an Emdebian release alongside Squeeze.
