Currently, to handle SCSS one needs to...

 1) copy /usr/share/geany/filetypes.css
    to $HOME/.config/geany/filedefs/
 2) edit the copied file to add these:

    [lexer_properties]
    lexer.css.scss.language=1

 1) copy /usr/share/geany/filetype_extensions.conf
    to $HOME/.config/geany/filedefs/
 2) edit the copied file to change a line into this:

    CSS=*.css;*.scss;

Then it works editing SCSS files - and plain CSS files too, only
slightly mis-treated.

Would be better if possible to make side-wide customizations, by
installing those files below etc, symlinking them to their expected
location below /usr/share/geany/.

Even better would be to treat SCSS as a separate language, selectable
from the menu.  It would inherit from CSS (as xml inherits from html).
