[Pkg-giraffe-discuss] WebApp 2.2.0 beta1 released

Hi all,

Last year we released WebApp 2.2.0 Beta 1. [0] [1] The focus of this release was working on a total new design, which has been partially implemented.
As part of the new design we now use SASS, which requires ruby-compass as build-dependency to convert scss to css.
Currently this is not required yet since we just released the compiled CSS, we do plan on requiring ruby-compass for the `ant deploy` step (tested this on wheezy/jessie and it works :-) )

Apart from the new design, my focus was to finally get rid of the PEAR/* dependency. This has been done, but we forgot to remove server/PEAR/PEAR.php that will be fixed in beta 2 :)

The rest of the changes are bugfixes, bumping the PHP requirement to PHP 5.4 which made us remove a lot of backported features for 5.2.1 etc.

Last but not least, we do not provide all the plugins we did in 2.1.0 anymore. For example the spreed, dropboxattachment and a few other plugins are not longer in the tarball.

I think there are still some issues to which I did not respond yet, hopefully I will find some time to do that soon. (The re-design took a lot of work!)
