Hi,
with some more free time in the past weeks I was able to import the
current Kopano release 8.0.1 and do hopefully all the needed changes
from Zarafa to Kopano.
As much as possible I've tested the new packages in a KVM machine but
that's far away from a good review to get the packages finally uploaded
to the new queue.
The current status is pushed to Alioth to the debian/sid branch.
I have switched finally to dh9 and enabled some hardening things, but
for a upload to NEW we need a clear copyright file in first place. I've
tried to clean up the current state but please take a look into.
Lintian isn't that much currently, no show stoppers to see now.

Note that debian/changelog need now kopano as source package! I haven’t
prepared a new debian/changelog yet.
Please let me know if I missed something.
