[Pkg-giraffe-discuss] z-push 1.4.0beta1 prepped

Hi everyone!

First of all: a happy New Year and good health to you all!

I've prepared a snapshot for z-push 2.4.0 beta 1 at  
https://github.com/roelvanmeer/z-push-packaging. I'd appreciate a quick  
look to ensure I haven't missed any important things, and if there are no  
objections I intend to upload this as experimental to Alioth soon.
