I thought that one day we will have to deal with this.
That why we have written on the wiki page [1] "Add mechanism to not
conflict with packages from upstream" [2].
This sentence is a bit missleading because we need to conflict here. But
also to replace the upstream packages if needed as you figured out.
Normally we would need a version here, but by not adding a version we
catch up all upstream packages by this name so I think this is o.k. so.
This is also true for the other patch about kopano-client.

We will need some automatic testing for this in the future.
