the src:kopanocore package is holding a autopkgtest folder within
debian/ there any kind of testing scripts or binaries can be placed.

The principle is that a clean chroot is started within a container (or
virtual machine) and all the references in 'Tests' from the 'control' file
will get called.

Currently this is (only) a file named 'smoke'.

This does install a kopno-server instance from scratch and is doing some
further small tests.

Right after this script we could add some LDAP testing within a own file
named 'ldap-checks' e.g. For this we need to create a usable LDAP
environment like install OpenLDAP and create some required schema for
kopano-server.

We would need to add the steps you probably have done within your
installation from scratch. Of course with non sensitive data.

For further discussion and integration we should move over to the
mailing list about such topics, this bug report is offtopic for this.
I'd suggest you subscribe to the list, the amount of emails is quite
