/usr/bin/rsvg (from the package librsvg2-bin) could give you good
solutions. But maybe you will hit the same problem as now: if librsvg
is bumped to librsvg3-bin :-)

Agreed and thank you for bringing up this problem.
Will be fixed on the next imagemagick upload.
