i've just checked out svn://svn.debian.org/svn/pkg-gmagick/trunk/debian
to prepare a patch against imagemagick.mime. something like

-image/avs; display avs:'%s'; test=test -n "$DISPLAY"; priority=2
+image/avs; display 'avs:%s'; test=test -n "$DISPLAY"; priority=2
(for all occuring values of "avs")

unfortunately this would exactly revert the changes commited in (svn) revision 113.
the changelog (7:6.5.9.8-1) says: 
  * Fix mime handling of filenames with spaces (Closes: #562959).

as I cannot reproduce problems with spaces (imagemagick 8:6.6.0.4-3, and
'avs:%s'), I suspect, bug #562959 has been fixed elsewhere.
in this case imagemagick.mime should be reverted the way I intended.
(but that's my opinion.)

also, i'd like to fix space problems, if someone tells me how to
reproduce them.
