Related bugs (ugly menu):

#767973 imagemagick: desktop file icon is still not displayed
#773900 ImageMagick installation ships two redundant menu entries

Related bugs (non-functional menu):

#675453 Menu entry of imagemagick does not lauch it (which is actually
NOT resolved, unlike what the BTS says, at least not for MATE)

#773426 imagemagick: Imagemagick not run from menu in Mate (which is
actually a duplicate of both #675453 and #773900; it precedes #773900 by
a week, but when I filed #773900, I didn't find #773426 due to the fact
that two discrete bugs are reported, with the title only reflecting the
first issue)

The former two bugs need only one fix, as I said in #773900: remove the
useless desktop file display-im6.desktop completely. This would leave a
non-functional entry from display-im6.q16.desktop but at least the menu
won't be ugly.

The latter two need, either to write a wrapper (as Bastien said in
#675453), or to hide the entries completely from the main menu (but
leaving them for the contextual menus).

Note that mate-desktop-environment-extras recommends
caja-image-converter, which itself depends on imagemagick. Therefore,
because of these bugs, a complete MATE installation will always have an
ugly and non-functional menu because of ImageMagick.

Please fix these bugs before Jessie is released !

Regards,
