Hi,

I am not sure if this is the same as using pingImage() in PHP.

convert -ping bug.pdf on 8:6.8.9.9-5+deb8u4 and 8:6.8.9.9-5+deb8u3:
convert: no images defined `bug.pdf' @ error/convert.c/ConvertImageCommand/3210.

And pingImage() from within PHP does work with 8:6.8.9.9-5+deb8u3.
