But there is not indications that this bug is not ... a test with a 2.4
could point a problem related to the kernel (a good start to find the
problem) ... so if you could test it could be usefull.

Hum, don't start in this way please. It's not always easy to track a
bug, so could you just try with 2.4 kernel ? It could be a good start to
find the problem.

If you could provide some extra informations, it could be usefull to
test :

- fs type ? NFS or not ? The home dir is used as desktop ?
- "which nautilus"
- and attach or put somewhere the result of a ldd `which nautilus`
