While this might be the "right" place to put the information, keep in
mind that most gqview users will not think to look in there. I'm a
fairly sophisticated user and *I* didn't think to look there. What about
the unsophisticated users do do not know what GTK is, nor care.
/etc/motd was one thought I had, but you are correct that the users who
need to see it won't. It would be a good idea if the GTK library
maintainers could find a general solution to get the word out. Sarge
release notes, perhaps?

If I knew that a problem was due to a library I would, but keep in mind
that most users only see the problem in the application, not in the
myriads of libraries. Please have patience and reassign as necessary.
