For reasons I explained in an other mail I am still running a gnome1.4
core and a matching version of sawfish. As the original report states I
didnt mean to actually say this is a bug in nautilus. It is just a
problem that occurs with nautilus and does not occur with gmc. And a
simple minded user probably wont ever find out why.
After all it could have been that the developers would have known a
quick fix. It is probably related to the fact that nautilus opens its
own "pseudo-root" window above the real root window instead of using the
root window directly. Something I never really understood anyway.
