Package: gail
Version: 1.4.1-1
Severity: minor

gail-1.4.1/docs/reference/libgail-util/gail-libgail-util-docs.sgml
in the source tree begins like this:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE book PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DocBook V4.1.2//EN"
               "http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/xml/4.1.2/docbookx.dtd" [
<!ENTITY gail-libgail-util-gailtextutil SYSTEM "xml/gailtextutil.xml">
<!ENTITY gail-libgail-util-gailmisc SYSTEM "xml/gailmisc.xml">
]>

However, <http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/xml/4.1.2/docbookx.dtd>
actually refers to "-//OASIS//DTD DocBook XML V4.1.2//EN"; this is
the XML version. Please change the DOCTYPE declaration accordingly.

I noticed this when I was trying to build gail with gtk-doc-tools
installed. (As docbook-xml 4.2-7 does not yet register its XML
catalogs with xml-core, I registered them myself.) Because the
public identifier didn't match anything in the catalogs, the XML
parser attempted to load the DTD from the network, which failed.
Correcting the DOCTYPE fixed this.
