I can not reproduce this problem at all. My guess is that your
~/.phoenix/pluginreg.dat file was just stale. Does this problem only
affect the mozilla-bonobo plugin? Does restoring the symlink now work?
If the answer is no to either, than this bug belongs to mozilla-firebird
as consensus among the other mozilla plugin maintainers is to use
symlinks in Debian by default.
