Package: gdm
Version: 2.4.4.7-1
Severity: normal

Since the last gdm upgrade, .gnomerc (and others) do not get executed.
That's particulary bad since I set my (partial) locale in those startup
files. Has the gnomerc/xinitrc approach been declared deprecated, or is
the current gdm package in a temporary state of flux?

(This might be related to other bug reports about session management.)

=2Egnomerc is no longer used upstream -- use the standard .xsession if
you want that sort of thing. It has the benefit of then working the same
no matter how you start X.

Why not set it with gdm instead?
