Package: balsa
Version: 2.0.12-1
Severity: important

When viewing email with embedded HTML received from PayPal balsa crashes
with the following X error:

The program 'balsa' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length erro'.
  (Details: serial 165693 error_code 16 request_code 150 minor_code 20)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

The email in question is included here (I have edited out some private
information which hopefully should be irrelevant to the bug) (the \t
should be replaced by TAB characters):

Hi Per,

You bug was eventually tracked down to GtkHTML and not Balsa awhile ago.
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3D124569

Hence it was considered resolved/wontfix on Bugzilla. There's nothing I
can do at my end. If Balsa is still broken for you in this regards, file
a new report with the gtkhtml maintainer. I won't be forwarding it
myself since I don't know how much GtkHTML has changed and because
everyone else in the GNOME Packaging Team is working on GNOME 2.6 stuff.

Cheers,
Andrew "Netsnipe" Lau
