Bug#245762: /usr/bin/gnome-keyboard-layout: no icon shown beside the 2 letters keyboard abbreviation

In gnome 2.4 there used to be a little flag icon beside the 2 letters
abbreviation. After upgrading there is none.
I dont know which further information could be helpful to tracking this
error. I will be glad to help.
