The problem file is /etc/X11/Xsession.d/30xfree86-common_xresources in
xfree86-common, which runs xrdb without depending on it (or checking if it
exists first).  xfree86-common should depend on xbase-clients, or not attem=
pt
to run xrdb if it isn't installed.
