gimp is uninstallable in sid if GNOME libraries are previously not
installed:

on gimp install:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  gimp: Depends: libgnomecanvas2-0 but it is not installable

...

on libgnomecanvas2-0 install:

Package libgnomecanvas2-0 is not available, but is referred to by
another package
However the following packages replace it:
  libgnomecanvas2-doc libgnomecanvas2-common

...

on libgnomecanvas2-common install:

E: Package libgnomecanvas2-common has no installation candidate
