Yes. The gnome2.2 backport for woody was installed (of which I am the
maintainer). This backport is based on gnome2.2 packages from debian
unstable from 2003.
$ dpkg -l|grep gconf2
ii gconf2 2.2.1-2jds1 GNOME configuration database system.
(daemon
ii libgconf2-4 2.2.1-2jds1 GNOME configuration database system
librarie
ii libgconf2-dev 2.2.1-2jds1 GNOME configuration database system
developm
As said in the previous report, upgrading from these did not produce any
other errors (like files not able to be overwritten, etc).
The backport is widely used, and I am trying to ensure a smooth upgrade
path to sarge. If you feel the error is with my packaging, I will of
course address it here-- however, the error seemed to indicate a problem
(to me at least) with the sarge packages which is why I issued the bug
report in BTS.
