problem with some games in sarge

Hi,

 I have reinstalled my box after I broke Gnome 2.7 from
unstable/experimental. This time I installed testing, and with it,
gnome-games. Now most of the games start like gnomine, but mahjongg
says: "The default configuration values could not be retrieved correctly.
Please check your GConf configuration, specifically that the schemas
have been installed correctly." After clicking on OK, it terminates. I
have tried to rebuild scrollkeepers database, upgrade gnome-games and
gconf2 to the version in unstable; still no luck. What else can I check?
Can it be a packaging problem maybe (dependencies and such)? The strace
output not revealed anything particular for the first look.
