It's also in perl-modules 5.6.1-8.7 which is what I had installed.
I can see no reasoning for it doing this. I tried putting together
a new woody chroot and upgrading that and it worked correctly.

Don't know how it would get into this state. The machine started life as
a fresh woody install, kept up to date with all security patches.

Think we will file this one under WTF???
