Bug#268632: libgtk2.0-0: Long directory names break file selection dialog

The new Gtk2 file chooser can not change to directories with names
that don't fit in the window.

This leads to a variety of problems, depending on the length of the file
name (these numbers are for a 750x550 pixel file chooser window, using
ethereal, but the problem was initially detected using also happens for
beep-media-player):

50 character file name: ("0123456789" x 5)
Weird behaviour of the path components buttons at the top - in this one
test case, it triggers an immediate segfault, but I've seen other
circumstances where it just starts redrawing the button list a lot
before eventually segfaulting.

60 character file name: ("0123456789" x 6) 
The application apparently loops indefinitely, alternately enlarging and
shrinking the file list. It seems that this behaviour is also what you
get for all longer file names (tested up to 255 character file name).
