Hello.
When I press F2 in a Nautilus window, I can rename the currently
selected file; unfortunately, this doesn't work on desktop -
I must use mouse to rename items.

This seems to be fixed in 2.8.2-2, perhaps in 2.8 as a whole. Closing.
