Package: gnome-session
Version: 2.8.1-4
Followup-For: Bug #284090

Bug remains in my system (and in Sarge).
How to reproduce:
You can create a new user.
Then log on from kdm or gdm in a gnome session.
First attempt is successful.
Change number of desktops in the "Desktop switcher" (I think this is
unnecessary).
When logout, check "Save settings" (this is the action which activate
the bug).
Then any subsequent login for that user has the splash screen which
dont disappear.
You can click and then disappear, but you cannot logout using the menu
(only ctrl-alt-backspace function). Maybe you have to wait for a
timeout to succeed. You can re-activate "logout by menu" (only for that
session) if you right-click on "desktop switcher" and choosing
"preferences".
