Bug#285862: rfe: fixed width option from upstream

Please pass this request upstream to add an option to force this
applet to a fixed width.  It's extremely useful and I wouldn't
want to not have it on my panel, but it's extremely annoying to
watch the entire length of my panel contents bouncing around at
the bottom of my screen whenever this applet decides it needs to
resize itself.  Forcing it to a certain maximum width would be
ideal.
