Version: "Error activating XKB configuration." dialog not possible to disable
Severity: important

        Hi!

 Upon starting gnome-settings-daemon I get this dialog every time:

 Here the requested settings:

#v+
alfie@minos:~$ xprop -root | grep XKB
_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "xfree86", "pc105", "German", "nodeadkeys", ""
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "xfree86", "pc105", "German", "nodeadkeys", ""
alfie@minos:~$ gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/xkb
 layouts = [German      nodeadkeys]
 model = pc105
 overrideSettings = false
 options = []
#v-

 Someone told me that it might have to do with an old xfree version.
Unfortunately I can't upgrade it here: We are using dumb terminals and
we are running the latest firmware already. So the think I'm asking for
is a way to disable this dialog once and for all. I don't notice any
problems with my keyboard, it works perfectly the way it should, and
according to the output of the requested commands I don't see anything
wrong with that neither.

 Thanks for considering it, and a happy new year.
Alfie
