Some of my TTF fonts show up as "symlink to TTF font" (probably because
they are, in fact, symlinked) in the fonts view.
Nautilus seemingly can't make up its mind which application should
handle those files. They're thumbnailed fine, but when I double-click
one of them, a dialog opens which says
"Invalid Action Associated
The action associated with <fontname> is invalid.
You can configure GNOME to associate a different application or viewer
with this file type. Do you want to associate an application or viewer
with this file type now?"
Below, there are "Cancel" and "Associate Action" buttons which do
nothing when clicked. (?)
When double-clicking a font which is not symlinked, the normal GNOME
font viewer appears.
Outside of the fonts:// view, i.e. in a normal directory, both symlinked
and "normal" font files can be opened by double-clicking.
