That's quite surprising. The dependencies include fontconfig, which
depends on ttf-bitstream-vera | ttf-freefont | gsfonts-x11 |
msttcorefonts.

Anyway, no fonts should result in a crash, but not a segfault. Do you
have a backtrace?
