Bug#257145: cannot export to EPS if Umlauts are used in the diagram

Create a diagram. Insert an arbitrary labeled shape. Use an Umlaut in
the label and try to export the diagram to EPS. The error message is
"Can't convert string Überwachung: Invalid byte sequence in conversion
input".
