Ever since I upgrade to GNOME 2.6 every time I've logged in to my
PowerBook an error dialog saying that 'Permissions on the file /dev/pmu
are broken' is displayed. I'm quite prepared to believe that they are
but there are two problems with this dialog:

 - The dialog gives no indication what is wrong with the permissions.
 - There is no indication which program is displaying (the title of the
   dialog is simply 'Error').
