Package: nautilus
Version: 2.6.3-3
Severity: important
Nautilus keeps running but no window shows up, it doesn't change the
background, and no menu is attached to the root window. It consumes
more than 90% CPU.
It happens also selecting GNOME safe session in gdm.
It happens also with new users with no config at all.
I have tried to downgrade to the testing packages, but it doesn't help.
An strace attached to the nautilus process shows:
28484 poll( <unfinished ...>
28558 futex(0x822def0, FUTEX_WAIT, 5, NULL <unfinished ...>
28559 futex(0x822e1d0, FUTEX_WAIT, 0, NULL <unfinished ...>
28560 futex(0x822e4c0, FUTEX_WAIT, 2, NULL <unfinished ...>
28561 futex(0x826ea98, FUTEX_WAIT, 5, NULL <unfinished ...>
(normal poll loop?)
