As it seems to be a non-applet bug, i am reassigning this bug to 'acpid'
pkg, the maintainer of this pkg would then look at it and decide if it
is an acpid bug or a kernel problem. Wherever is the problem, he is more
capable than me to debug apci problems (as i've no laptop).

When your acpi support is OK, please test again this applet and report
another bug here if the included patch is not sufficient.
