Hi,

After looking at gnome's bugzilla, the problem seems to be that GNOME doesn't
handle 'sun type 6' keyboards
(see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137294).
Until this problem is fixed, I think that you won't be able to set
your compose key as compose.
