reassign 251061 esound retitle 251061 esd causes gnome2.4 apps to hang merge 251061 246317 stop I have found that the freeze is "fixed" by killing the "esd" process. Thus the problem seems to lie with esd. Checking the Debian Bug system shows that this is therefore a duplicate of bug #246317 and so I have merged the bugs! Alex Owen
