I just got a *big* upgrade from apt (almost 300 packages ...), including
upgrade to Gnome 2.6. Things were not so smooth, but livable.
I just saw that the "tree view" is unavailable in the file manager : I have no
left pane and no menu item to enable it.
This might be a problem with the French interface (broken menus ?) or a more
serious one ...

Hi,
Welcome in the new "spatial mode". If you want read more details about
this mode there is a good review in french (you're speaking about the
french interface, I assume a french doc is welcome too :) here :
http://frimouvy.udev.org/gnome26/nautilus/
If you don't like it you can revert to old style with this command :
$ gconftool-2 --type bool
-s /apps/nautilus/preferences/always_use_browser true

That's not a problem but the new interface. I'm closing this bug.
Thanks,
Sebastien Bacher
